General Advice
- Keep the bag away from direct sunlight, heat and excessive humidity.
- Avoid contact with liquids containing sugars, alcohol or acids.
- If wet, dab immediately with a soft, dry cloth, without rubbing.
Note: Pure water does not harm the skin, but any impurities in the liquids can leave stains.
Cleansing and Nourishing the Skin
For regular cleaning:
- Use a soft, light-colored cloth or a soft-bristled leather brush to remove dust.
- Apply a neutral cream for natural leather with a soft sponge, over the entire surface and not just on the stain.
- Let it air dry, away from heat sources.
Always avoid:
- Alcohol, solvents, chemical stain removers.
- Wet wipes or non-skin-specific cleansers.
Beware of Light Skin
Light cowhide absorbs creams and external agents more easily. Follow the instructions carefully and avoid excessive quantities of product. With use and exposure to light, any stains will tend to fade naturally, leaving a warm and authentic patina.
Conservation
- Keep the bag in the cotton dust bag when you're not using it.
- Fill it with tissue paper to maintain its shape.
- Avoid humid or too bright places.
