Founded in 1972 by Philip and Cassandra Grant, First Street Leather began as a humble workshop on California’s Central Coast. Philip crafted sandals and belts by hand, bringing skill and artistry to every piece. Cassandra remained behind the scenes, her visionary branding and shop designs laid a foundation that continues to resonate today.
Today, over 50 years later, First Street Leather has evolved from a small workshop into a thoughtfully curated leather boutique — offering premium goods from skilled artisans from around the world. From durable bags, classic jackets, and fine leather shoes to distinctive accessories, every product is chosen with care, built to last, and meant to be loved.
Longtime staff member Travis Mueller, holding the title of General Manager, has been a vital part of the First Street Leather family for over 25 years, bringing deep knowledge, friendly service, and a commitment to quality that reflects our founding values. His presence ensures that every customer — whether local or visiting — receives personal attention and expert guidance.
