Below are featured only a few of the over fifty styles of straw hats we stock. The first is woven from raffia, an almost indestructible Madagascar palm fiber that is stripped lengthwise and woven by hand. It is famed for its durability.

The second hat is woven from toyo fiber, a wood fiber product. Unlike most straws and grasses, toyo does not crack with repeated flexing and handling, yet remains very soft and friendly to the touch.

This is important!   TO DETERMINE YOUR HAT SIZE - Measure your head, in inches, just above your ear line, coming across your forehead. Divide the number of inches by pi (3.1415) to determine your U.S. size- 7 1/8 for example. ( 22 1/2" divided by pi = 7.16 or hat size 7 1/8 [ 7.125] plus a little.

From SHADY BRADY comes his indestructible, waterproof raffia straw hat. The vented crown keeps you cool, while providing full sun protection. The color is 'vintage,' a soft, dusty tan with variation, belying the fact that you have a new hat. Cord trim with center concho detail, and adjustable chin cord.
