First Street Leather

First Street Leather is located in the quaint Danish village of Solvang in Santa Barbara County. Solvang was founded in the early 1900s by a group of Danes who wanted to start a community where they could foster and preserve their Danish heritage. First Street Leather has been in business in Solvang since 1972. We invite you to stop by and peruse our store, and enjoy the delights of Solvang and the Santa Ynez Valley.

On July 4th 2003, we opened a second location in The Village at Mammoth.  We are very excited about this new shop. We had the pleasure of designing every detail of this store to best showcase our beautiful collections of leather garments and accessories.  The custom fixtures and cabinets were all personally handcrafted by Bud Tullis of Solvang.  Salvatore Cisaria, another local Santa Ynez Valley artisan, crafted the beautiful copper counter and table tops which are highlights of the store. Located on Minaret  Road, First Street Leather Mammoth is one of the first shops to open in this new Intrawest project. 

July 3, 2004 First Street Leather took on a new look!  We expanded the Mammoth location with TROPPEBORSE in the space right next to First Street Leather is our new accessory store.  We have added many new handbag lines such as Isabella Fiore, Mary Francis and Sabrina Scala.  We now have all of the new styles of HOBO International Bags as well as Francesco Biasia and don’t forget Brighton.

January 2006, First Street Leather celebrates a new opening.  Our newest store in Squaw Valley USA opened!  Our beautiful turn of the century California store is now open at the base of the ski lifts in Squaw Valley.  We feature the same fine products that we are always known for!
